Kathy Lee was our featured quilter

The chemical engineer and active STEM education volunteer began quilting in the 1980’s while living in North Carolina. After a hiatus from the craft to raise 2 children and work in oil research, she rediscovered her talent in 2018.

Karen Hochman spoke during the show. Baby quilts made by members were displayed and then donated to a local women’s shelter. Several additional local charities benefited from the sale of fabric and drawings for a queen-sized quilt and sewing themed gift baskets.

We held our annual Quilt Show on Sunday 3/25/2023. We had a wonderful time, displayed many of our member’s quilts and welcomed many visitors.

Celebrating quilts as art and functional design with an emphasis on education and bringing traditional needlearts to all generations.

Quilts are the homespun art of women’s history.
